Involvement in BIBA

Mark Hands is a member of the British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) West Midlands Committee. 

This committee provides a local presence for BIBA, ensuring that the views and issues of insurance brokers in the West Midlands are heard and represented at a national level. The committee also helps organise local events and networking opportunities for members.

At a national level, BIBA serves as the leading general insurance intermediary organization in the UK. Its primary roles include:

• Representation: BIBA acts as the voice of the insurance industry, lobbying the government, regulators, and other key stakeholders on behalf of its members.
  
• Support: It provides members with a range of resources, including training, technical advice, guidance on regulation, and business support.
  
• Standards: The organization works to maintain and raise industry standards through its code of conduct and other initiatives, aiming to ensure a fair and equitable regulatory environment for the broking industry.
